A specialised session focusing directly on
improving a player's ball striking technique.
Being able to kick a ball well is the biggest asset
any player can have. In this session we will work
on passing the ball, dead ball striking (used for
free kicks, corners, goal kicks, penalties etc.)
and first time striking (shooting at goal).
I will go through all the elements that help create
a proper ball striking technique (balance, body
position, plant foot, part of the foot utilised,
position of the ball to strike etc.)
This will be a very small group, helping maximise
instruction comprehension for each player.

A specialised session focusing directly on
improving a player's overall defensive ability.
Coaching teams at various age groups and
playing levels, I have noticed one huge area that
teams neglect to train well. The art of defending.
With so much time dedicated to developing a
player's attacking and ball mastery skill, there
isn't much time left for coaches to give the
proper attention that defensive play deserves.
As a player, this was my main position and the
one I know best, so I know first hand the
difference it makes in becoming the complete
player.
This session will focus entirely on becoming a
more efficient and effective defender. I will cover
different ways to approach an attacker with the
ball, one on one defending, body positioning,
how to delay, how to use your body correctly,
how to time a tackle, when to tackle etc.
After completing this workshop, you will have a
better understanding of why defending well is so
important, and be able to instantly apply that
knowledge and technique the next time you play.
